About

I’m Shirley Chen, a designer with genuine passion towards inclusivity. My sense of pragmatism combined with empathy, has brought my desire to design customer centric products, that are accessible to as many people as possible.

Hey there! 👋

In the realm of user experience, I've come to understand that designing goes beyond aesthetics; it's about understanding people deeply. My journey has taken me across various disciplines, allowing me to expand my expertise far beyond traditional design practices. With a solid background in design, digital marketing and customer service, I've honed my ability to grasp clients' mental model, action and emotions.

To me, the essence of expertise lies in a shared goal: delivering high-quality, useful products and services. Collaboration is at the heart of practice and my background equips me to excel in this aspect. I leverage my communication skills to address concerns from internal and external stakeholders, fostering meaningful relationships and ensuring seamless collaboration.

As a designer, nothing brings me more pleasure than creating an inclusive product. I channel my empathy, problem-solving prowess, and meticulous planning into enhancing functionality and accessibility. I thrive on engaging with people and learning from their experiences. With an inquisitive spirit, I'm constantly driven to bridge the gap between users and products, bringing joy to our communities.
